FORTY WINKS

dream-girl

O my Moon, gorgeous globe of the Heavens!
Swell up from the profundity of the dark sky
Stand still; wait to set, my anxious appeal,
Anguished soul of mine wants to sleep a lot
The clock strikes eleven; ultimate hour approaches,
Slumber, Slumber!  Come fast, come fast,
I crave to dream a lot, throughout the night,
And fill my mind with sacred thoughts
But the forty winks could not surmount me
Splendid beauty of the moon surpasses me
By watching your amiable visage, I dreamt a lot!

UTOPIAN SKY

ring of saturn
No mechanism to measure
The velocity of human mind
A fire-wing rocket of fancy
Propels into the colossal
Parameter of Milky Way
Meander in the scarlet world
Dance in the ring of Saturn
Oar the ferry Moon in
Cerulean sea of Heavens
Glitter in constellation
An explorer of alien terrain
Psyche is a satellite of no orbit
Blasts off in Utopian trajectory
No coaster brake to control
Till the cycle of life blows out

THE MOON

Image

Though rough and tough,
This celestial ball
Looks like a marble;
Infiltrates the silver cloud
And so our body and soul,
Engulfs our thoughts…

Passionate in appearance
Prompt in performance
Scientific in approach;
Teaches the philosophy of nature
By waxing and waning:
 ‘Overcome all ups and downs’
